Notes on Tillman Weber Sr.

Nine children listed in will. Had property surveyed (539 acres) on 7 Nov 1740 in Hamilton Parish. Surveyor was Joseph Berry. His house bore inscription 1721 overdoor and is believed to be the only house of an original settler now remaining in Germantown.

Fauquier Co. was formed 1759 from Prince William Co. The names of some descendants of Germanna Colonists (First Colony) appear in those early court records. Fauquier Co. Court, 17 Sep 1759: Licence is granted Tilman Weaver to keep an Ordinary at his House, he having with Harmon Hitt entered into and acknowledged Bond accordingly.
