Notes on Suzannah Lowe

AKA "Mary Suzannah" occasionally, though there was also a Mary who was her sister and the documents just refer to a Suzannah.

Next info~on Mary Lowe I have been contacted by a professional researcher who is researching the family of Jesse Lowe, the son of John Lowe of Fauquier county Virginia. She found some info that might be important to us. Seeing that John Lowe was the bondsman for our Mary Lowe who married William Robinson and it was reported that Jesse was her brother. She says the records show that John Lowe was married to Judith Hitt. She found record of the will at Richmond Virginia at the state library. The will was dated April 7, 1809 and lists nine children and wife Judith. Some of the children were William Low, John Lowe, Suzanna Robinson, Hannah Lowe, Jesse Lowe, Sarah Lowe, Judith Lowe, and Elizabeth Hanback. I believe that Suzannah Lowe was our Mary Lowe Robinson. These names seem important to us, because William and Mary Lowe Robinson had Jesse, John and Judith. My John Robinson names his daughter Mary Susannah. There is also a book, called the "Fauquier Families 1759-1799" In which Harmon Hitt is mentioned as leasing land to John and Judith Hitt Lowe for the rest of their lives. Also there are some marriages listed, Moses Robinson married Hannah Lowe in 1795 and James Lowe was listed as a brother and bondsman was William Robinson and Jesse Lowe was a witness to the marriage. Could this Moses be a brother to our William Lowe? Especially since our William and Mary had a son they named Moses? Also in the book, James Lowe married Roses Hayback in 1796; Jesse Lowe married Fanny Elizabeth Kemper. The professional genealogist is working for descendants of this marriage, and she will not give the family name and contact information until after she has completed her work that she is being paid a fee for. She also said it looks like Judith was the son of Harmen Hitt, the granddaughter of Peter Hitt of Germany, and that there is a book written on the Hitt family at the Richmond Virginia library. Well I will keep up on this for you. Sandy
