In the deed she describes the 300 acres as gifted by her grandfather Anthony Savage to her father Francis Thornton and her mother Alice, said land being on the north side of the Rappahannock River in Hanover Parish (King George County, Virginia Deed Book 1, page 94 - Family History Library microfilm 0,032,061)
